Bracketology Update!

All Divisions Now Posted In Bracketology. Hi voters- don’t forget to submit your votes for Play-In Day 2 by 8 pm EST tonight, but in the meantime I’m happy to report that Divisions A through D have now been posted in full bracket form. I will keep updating and building brackets over the following days, but in the meantime take a look here (also can be found under Music And Music Tournaments–>People’s Choice Tournament–>PCT Bracketology above.)

Day 1 Play-In Results

Tough Times for Amsterdam

If you’ve done any serious living of the dream, you’ve probably been to Amsterdam.   The city is filled with scenic canals, cool museums, and fit bikers peddling their way around town.  That’s why someone like my mother loved visiting.  It also has a seedier side, including the infamous red light district.  Most unique of all, however, are its 220 coffee shops, where patrons can purchase marijuana joints for a few dollars, to be smoked with reggae blaring in the background and soccer on the television screens.  Unfortunately, thanks to the right wing, which ruins all things good all over the world, that era is coming to an end. An Alien Podcast with Crispus Knight

We’ve all thought about aliens before.   Have they been visiting the earth for thousands of years? What are their intentions? How would  they get here?  And if they don’t exist, how can we explain some of the crazy things happening in our sky?  We get into all these questions and more during our alien podcast with Crispus Knight (as usual, excuse the awful intro music quality- I really thought I had a sweet “Life on Mars” thing going).

Crispus Knight may be an amateur enthusiast, but he’s thought these questions through, detailing why most “sightings” are explainable, why some are not, and how credible some of the biggest proponents of alien visitation have been.  It’s an entertaining and enriching ride.  We even get a bonus question from Cristina Castro with music tournament implications!  Later this weekend we’ll put up some of the youtube links discussed in the podcast.
