It’s seems that we have the wrong version of All These Things That I’ve Done on here (again!). Here’s the correct version:

    http://grooveshark.com/#!/s/All+These+Things+That+I+ve+Done/2B9sgM?src=5

Backstreets (Bruce Springsteen) vs. Pink Moon (Nick Drake) 7.5 – 6

Stubborn Love (Lumineers) vs. Anna Sun (Walk the Moon) 7 – 5. That house is still falling apart even here in the second round? You’d think they’d have fixed it by now.

Killer Queen (Queen) vs. Never Go Back (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals) 7.5 – 4

All These Things I’ve Done (Killers) vs. The Last Living Rose (PJ Harvey) 9 – 4

  2. jacob says:

This should lift my average. But why do all the songs I like have to clump together?

    Backstreets (Bruce Springsteen) 6
vs. Pink Moon (Nick Drake) 10

    Stubborn Love (Lumineers) 6
vs. Anna Sun (Walk the Moon) 6

    Killer Queen (Queen) 6
vs. Never Go Back (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals) 6

All These Things I’ve Done (Killers) 9
vs. The Last Living Rose (PJ Harvey) 7 Love the sax lines.

  3. Amanda says:

    Backstreets (Bruce Springsteen) – 6.5
Pink Moon (Nick Drake) – 6

    Stubborn Love (Lumineers) – 7
Anna Sun (Walk the Moon) – 7.75

    Killer Queen (Queen) – 7
Never Go Back (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals) – 7.25

All These Things I’ve Done (Killers) – 6
The Last Living Rose (PJ Harvey) – 6.25

  4. Mark B says:

    Backstreets (Bruce Springsteen) 7
vs. Pink Moon (Nick Drake) 4

    Stubborn Love (Lumineers) 7.5
vs. Anna Sun (Walk the Moon) 8
I flit between thinking Stubborn Love is the best thing ever and then thinking that it’s actually quite forgettable. I still can’t decide. Ana Sun has so much summery energy.

    Killer Queen (Queen) 7
vs. Never Go Back (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals) 6.5

All These Things I’ve Done (Killers) 5.5
vs. The Last Living Rose (PJ Harvey) 6
I used the link Adam S posted and not the one in the playlist. Still wishing it wasn’t this live version of ATTID – he sounds exhausted and breathless from the get-go. IMHO it is a much weaker version of a near-flawless original.

  5. cjroomba says:

Backstreets (Bruce Springsteen) vs. Pink Moon (Nick Drake): 7.8/5.5
I love Backstreets…they’re the best way to get places.

Stubborn Love (Lumineers) vs. Anna Sun (Walk the Moon):6.67/6.76
So close. But really, I wanna know why the house is falling apart.

Killer Queen (Queen) vs. Never Go Back (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals):9.49/4.85
    Well versed in kickin’ ass…

All These Things I’ve Done (Killers) vs. The Last Living Rose (PJ Harvey): 9.5/6
I’m in agreement with Mark, sort of…only it’s a weaker version of a flawless original. The studio cut gets a 10, but this isn’t quite there. Almost.

  6. Daddy-O says:

Backstreets (Bruce Springsteen) vs. Pink Moon (Nick Drake) 5.5 vs 5.0

Stubborn Love (Lumineers) vs. Anna Sun (Walk the Moon) 6.5 vs 5.0

Killer Queen (Queen) vs. Never Go Back (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals) 8.0 vs 7.0

All These Things I’ve Done (Killers) vs. The Last Living Rose (PJ Harvey) 5.0 vs 5.5

  7. joe says:

    Backstreets (Bruce Springsteen) 7
    Pink Moon (Nick Drake) 8

I’m in a quiet mood this morning. This song fits me better.

    Stubborn Love (Lumineers) 6
Anna Sun (Walk the Moon) 4

    Killer Queen (Queen) 7
Never Go Back (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals) 7.5

All These Things I’ve Done (Killers) 6.5
The Last Living Rose (PJ Harvey) 8

PJ I dig you this morning. PJ Harvey for the start of the work day, and maybe Pig Destroyer for the ride home.

  8. Dem Adam says:

Backstreets (Bruce Springsteen) vs. Pink Moon (Nick Drake) = 6 to 9

Stubborn Love (Lumineers) vs. Anna Sun (Walk the Moon) = 4 to 4.5

Killer Queen (Queen) vs. Never Go Back (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals) = 9 to 5.5
Brian May’s overdubs are so clean and nice. The Grace Potter song is aight but i can’t figure out what they’re going for.

All These Things I’ve Done (Killers) vs. The Last Living Rose (PJ Harvey) = 5 to 7

  9. jameswheeler says:

    6- Backstreets (Bruce Springsteen) vs.
    5- Pink Moon (Nick Drake)
Bruce pops a 6 for having a 6 minute song that while I ultimately enjoy, I don’t enjoy for the full 6 minutes. Just wasn’t feeling Sir Nickolas Drake today.

    8- Stubborn Love (Lumineers) vs.
7- Anna Sun (Walk the Moon)
I like the Lumineers more and more as I hear their music. Anna Sun just misses but puts up a good fight.

    9- Killer Queen (Queen) vs.
6- Never Go Back (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals)
    Blowout. Long Live the Queen.

6- All These Things I’ve Done (Killers) vs.
5- The Last Living Rose (PJ Harvey)
I missed these in the first round. I really like the Killers but thought the song was a bit flat live. As for PJ, I love you, but I wish I could have voted for Them Crooked Vultures and put you out in the first round with this song. Wah wah.

  10. janos marton says:

Backstreets (Bruce Springsteen) vs. Pink Moon (Nick Drake): 8.2 : 7

Stubborn Love (Lumineers) vs. Anna Sun (Walk the Moon): 8.8 : 6.6

Killer Queen (Queen) vs. Never Go Back (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals): 8.4 : 7.1

All These Things I’ve Done (Killers) vs. The Last Living Rose (PJ Harvey): 6.5 : 6.9
I’m sorry, “I’ve got soul but I’m not a soldier” is just not clever. I guess it’s better than “are we human or are we dancer?” Last Living Rose was very pretty but never seemed to get off the ground.

  11. natalie says:

    Backstreets (Bruce Springsteen) – 5
Pink Moon (Nick Drake) – 8.5

    Stubborn Love (Lumineers) – 9
Anna Sun (Walk the Moon) – 6.5

    Killer Queen (Queen) – 7
i never seem to jump on the queen bandwagon until the later rounds. i’ll get there.
Never Go Back (Grace Potter and the Nocturnals) – 9

All These Things I’ve Done (Killers) – 7
The Last Living Rose (PJ Harvey) – 6.5

  12. Backstreets (Bruce Springsteen) 9
    Pink Moon (Nick Drake) 8

Tough call, but at the end of summer/beginning of autumn, Backstreets has a seasonal advantage.

    Stubborn Love (Lumineers) 8.5
Anna Sun (Walk the Moon) 7.6

I want Stubborn Love to be more cathartic in the end than it is, does that make sense? Anna Sun is fun.

No time for last two, sorrry
