Best Cover of All-Time: Day 1, 2 and 3 Results

grapevineLet the eliminations begin!  Most of these matches were pretty close, but a few standouts bear mentioning. You can also look at the full, updated results at the bracket manager.

I Heard It Through the Grapevine (CCR) averaged nearly 8 points a voter en route to victory.  I originally had it seeded higher, but figured people might sour on such a long song. I was totally mistaken- it became the first song to make the Wall of 10s, with 10s from Tim, Dr. J and Cristina.

Honorable mention to Don’t Do It (Band) and I Fought the Law (Clash), which also averaged over 8 points/voter, and Across the Universe (Fiona Apple) for averaging more than 7 points/voter, which is usually enough to make a deep run.   We’ll see!
