Sahara Hotnights is too punk for music tournaments anyway
Since I read some science somewhere that screens can throw off your sleep schedule, I’m trying to step away from electronics at least an hour before I got to bed. And since high school starts stupidly early (there’s also science about that), I’m trying to unplug earlier these days. Therefore, here’s just the results:
“Stairway To Heaven” by Rodrigo y Gabriela handily beats “Light My Fire” by Jose Feliciano, 152.6 to 109.5, and scores the high score of the round with a 6.9 average.

Jose Feliciano is out of the tournament, but he's still chill
“Straight To Hell” by Lily Allen defeats “Rockaway Beach” by Sahara Hotnights, 130.85 to 101.7 with a 5.95 average. I am convinced Straight to Hell will grow on you. Seriously, that song gets under your skin and won’t get out.
“Dancing With Myself” by Nouvelle Vague beats “Dancing In The Streets” by Mick Jagger and David Bowie, 123 to 110.9 with a 5.6 average.
And finally, in what I think is the upset of the night, “In Your Eyes” by Jeffrey Gaines just barely pulls it out over “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa” by Hot Chip featuring Peter Gabriel, 128.9 to 124.55, with a 5.86 average.
No one makes the walls of 10s tonight, folks.
