Round of 128: Division M Results

Oof…a not so good landmark on this results post- for the first time in a long time, we had no song breaking into triple digits on scores. With 14 voters, Division M being the so-to-speak “last pick 1st round, 1st pick 2nd round” of the snake-style reseeding, and this being a weekend post, it was a perfect storm. Let’s get to results and hope we can pick things up this week!

Let’s go to the high scorer to start things off- Division M becomes the 4th division of the round with a division leader not in the 1 seed spot. “Crabbuckit” advances and eliminates “Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys,” 98.57-85. Our second Canadian hip hop artist in LTD history to advance to the Round of 64. Bravo, K-os.

K-os will be matching off against The Verve next round, whose “Bittersweet Symphony” eliminates “Louisiana Woman Mississippi Man,” 88-71.8. Fare thee well, country music megastars.

Last round we were just blasting off. Now I'm on my way to MARS. See my average score for clarification.

The other side matches are now looking VERY interesting for the next round. “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” defeats “Dramamine,” 96.35-78.8. However, it also drops in average score from a 7.05 to a 6.88. In the meantime, the Bowie refuses to go down, crushing Blind Melon into a fruit juice, 96.25-80.35. But more importantly, the “Life On Mars” average SKYROCKETS from a 6.05 to a, you guessed it, 6.88. This is going to be a Round of 64 match to watch come August.

Out- Blind Melon, Iron Horse, Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, and Traffic.

About g-mo

The day I was born, Michael Jackson's Thriller album was at the top of the Billboard 200. I've been trying my best to live up to that expectation ever since.
