Nostalgia aside, Thriller is a good song. It hasn’t aged too well though, sounds a bit dated. Nostalgia will be powerful with this one though. Tiffany was a disappointment.

Really hitting the nostalgia for me here… I mean, do I go for a fellow Head Royce High School alum (juice the jayhawks)/Cal fan with his nice little 90’s anthem or roll back to a mainstay of my parent’s era that perfectly describes what I think about 65% of the day? I’m pretty sured Cali dreamin can’t be denied despite the love the 90’s are getting right now and how much we like to pretend that Mr. Jones is our old english teacher, Mr. Jones. Even though we know he’s not.

wasn’t really feeling either of these, which is too bad, because i’d really like to see some indie bands get somewhere in this tourney. the arcade fire song bored me, and i like frightened rabbit’s sound better (though i think they’ve got some better songs)

it’s fun to see people dance to “thriller” at weddings, but it’s not something i enjoy just sitting & listening to. i can’t say tiffany’s the highest quality, but it’s probably my favorite karaoke song.
