PCT II: Round of 128, Day 8 Results

So that’s what Ron Weasley does these days.

Surprise here was from Two Door Cinema Club, whose “What You Know” runs circles around Kanye West’s “Lost In The World”- the Irish trio takes it 126.35- 99.

Also with a comfortable gap was old timer John Prine- “Long Monday” over the Wood Brothers’ “When I Was Young,” 118.75-110.1.

Neko Case had a slim lead this morning, but late votes went the way of The Walkmen. “Heaven” eliminates “Prison Girls” 119.4-116.45.

Last but not least, in our closest match to date yet, the Stone Roses squander a 14 point lead and fall to Oasis’s “Champagne Supernova” in late votes by (I kid you not) 122.15-122. Yes, that close- can’t complain if you didn’t vote, and that’s the way the tournament crumbles.

Tune in later this weekend for a recap of the week. We’re halfway through the Round of 128, which mathematically means 25% of the way through the total match-ups. Yeah, math!

About g-mo

The day I was born, Michael Jackson's Thriller album was at the top of the Billboard 200. I've been trying my best to live up to that expectation ever since.
