PCT II: Round of 128, Day 5 Results

Coldplay needs no ordinary lights.

Few squeakers in this group- one of these was separated by exactly 0.1 this morning, I kid you not. However to each match there must be a winner; scores below.

In the lead-off bout, Sublime falls to the Hold Steady’s “Sequestered In Memphis,” 130-118.75. Tough love for the cover.

“Memories” never really had a shot versus the People’s love of this simpler Coldplay cut. “Til Kingdom Come” takes it, 142.55-114.7

High score of the night goes to the winner of this grueling battle that saw leads shift over much of the day. “Getaway” looked clear for the tape, but a last push on the outside lane by the Great Lake Swimmers was too much to hold off. “Pulling On A Line,” takes the nail biter with a last surge, 144.7-143.3 and grabs top score.

Last, in our electronic match of the group the name of the game was high highs and low lows when it came to Radiohead- unfortunately for them, the Knocks’ consistent 5’s and 6’s was enough for “Make It Better” to grab the win by a nose 132.09-130.3.

About g-mo

The day I was born, Michael Jackson's Thriller album was at the top of the Billboard 200. I've been trying my best to live up to that expectation ever since.
