The above video, first of all, has nothing to do with the tournament, but I appreciated it. Moving on- low turnouts mean easy swings…and sometimes tough times for people on the wrong side of the scoreboard. After keeping this last match alive for three days, we unfortunately only had nine votes we were able to count toward the final (since Dan did not vote, we couldn’t count Janos or Adrock’s scores.) The final scores were as follows:
Don’t Worry Baby- 70.55
Much thank you to Coach Dan for a tournament well coached, but the show must go on. U2 receives its third strike and is eliminated with a bronze medal to take home.
At this point, both Led Zeppelin and The Beach Boys have a strike a piece…which leaves the title of Last Band Standing in the hands of whomever wins the three game series they have left. Good luck to both bands. Playlist is here, and votes are due by Wednesday, June 6th at 5:00 PM.

Do It Again- The Beach Boys
In My Time Of Dying- Led Zeppelin
Do It Again- The Beach Boys – 4
In My Time Of Dying- Led Zeppelin – 7
Do It Again- The Beach Boys – 4
In My Time Of Dying- Led Zeppelin – 6
I think both bands are pretty much running on empty, but I’m giving LZ the nod.
Apologies for not voting in the last round, the days got away from me. I will say I would have given tangerine the nod. While I cannot speak for my compatriots at Smith (who continually failed me throughout the tourney!! – but I’m not bitter), I hope they will see this through the end.
To Bono and friends, please forgive amy taylor for her slanderous statements, she know not what she says.
This was a lot of fun. good luck gentlemen.
Do It Again- The Beach Boys – 3.5
In My Time Of Dying- Led Zeppelin – 6.5
Do It Again- The Beach Boys – 7
This really grows on you. Love that intro.
In My Time Of Dying- Led Zeppelin – 4
This is too long.
Huh, I thought I posted
Do It Again- The Beach Boys 6
In My Time Of Dying- Led Zeppelin 3
Do It Again- The Beach Boys – 5.0 Uninteresting and pretty much the same as all the rest of their music.
In My Time Of Dying- Led Zeppelin – 7.5 Yes, it is long. But much more interesting and varied over the course of the performance. They continue to amaze in the directions that they go.
Do It Again (The Beach Boys) 3
In My Time of Dying (Led Zeppelin) 6
Do it again 6.1
in my time of dying. I hope my moment of death doesn’t drag on like this song did. 4.2
Beach Boys: 7. This is definitely a bit of a retread for them, but the production’s great and it has that dreamy bridge. But yeah, not their best song by any stretch of the imagination.
Led Zeppelin: 4. All of the playing is sick but it was still a slog at 11 minutes.
Do It Again- The Beach Boys: 2
At one point I really thought myself a fan of The Beach Boys. I have sadly come to the realization that I am not and really only enjoyed a select few songs from their immense catalog. This is not one of those songs I so dearly love.
In My Time Of Dying- Led Zeppelin: 6
Not the best, but still better than Do It Again.
Do It Again – 6
In My Time of Dying – 4.5
Agreed with most of the previous comments. Dying is painfully long. Do it Again isn’t BBs best or most innovative, but still holds its own.
