Fourth of July weekend and 29 people still turned out to vote.  Hell yeah!  3 of the match-ups this time around were really no contest, but one was decided by only 1.5 points.

Those pink robots must have tired out Yoshimi, who couldn’t hold on for a win.  Kelly Clarkson may have been able to breathe for the first time, but shouldn’t hold her breath.  The Round of 128 is right around the corner and it doesn’t get any easier.  Since U Been Gone (Kelly Clarkson) defeats Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots Part 1 (Flaming Lips, The) 181.7 to 180.2

Sunny Afternoon

As Hollywood has taught us, when you pit light against dark, good against evil, the good guys (almost) always prevail. Turns out music tournaments are no different. Sunny Afternoon (Kinks, The) defeats Under The Cover Of Darkness (Strokes, The) 191.7 to 173.5 

Arcade Fire’s song title is a little deceptive, as they got trounced by 50+ points.  A 6.11 average isn’t bad, but really doesn’t hold a candle to Jackie Wilson’s 8, the 2nd highest average score so far.  Some voters are predicting Higher and Higher will keep on climbing in the PCT, possibly all the way to the championship.  Higher and Higher (Jackie Wilson) defeats Ready To Start (Arcade Fire) 224 to 171 

Adele made Wilco feel something…but it sure wasn’t love.  Make You Feel My Love (Adele) defeats I Am Trying To Break Your Heart (Wilco) 187.5 to 159.7
