Hope y’all haven’t been losing sleep awaiting tonight’s results….
Well, it’s been another day of “meh” scores all around but fairly close matchups. All songs averaged in the 5-6 range, except for poor Electrelane which came out with a 4.55. Better luck next time, ladies.
The highest score of the night belongs to (surprise) ol’ Jimmy Brown. #2 Try Me (James Brown) beat #15 Like A Rose (Lucinda Williams) 159.7 to 142.7.
SK6ERS had the largest victory, with #7 You Win (Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers) defeating #10 To The East (Electrelane) 146.2 to 109.3.
The closest battle was between Mr. Marley and Ms. Merchant, with #3 Good Old Days (Ziggy Marley) taking down #14 Carnival (Natalie Merchant) 144.6 to 138.6.
The Kanyiver collaboration seemed to get “love it” or “hate it” reactions. In the end, it was the result of the one upset this round: #6 Lost In The World (Kanye West feat. Bon Iver) lost to #11 Add It Up (Violent Femmes) 133.5 to 146.8.
No new additions to the Wall of 10s. Out of the tournament: Lucinda Williams, Electrelane, Natalie Merchant, Kanye West, Bon Iver.

huh? i voted for Violent Femmes as a 10.

a song needs a 10 from at least 2 people to make it on the wall
