Round of 256: Division I, Left Side Results

Alright everyone- sorry for the post delay, been running around Wildwood a bit. Great results to post though, as we had a match-up that was back and forth continuously for the last 48 hours.

To start though, high score for the day goes to the infatigable Queen, who stomped 10cc’s reggae ballad. Somebody To Love eliminates “Dreadlock Holiday,” 279.7-181.3. Freddie Mercury, Brian Day, and the rest of the crew continues flexing their tournament prowess, pulls a 7.77 average, and goes to the Wall of 10’s with nods from Matt B and Sam.

In the next round Queen will be facing off against Magnetic Fields, as the reign of Captain Jack Sparrow has finally come to an end. Papa Was A Rodeo defeats Lonely Island, 217.4-152.1. Wall of 10’s nods from Jacob and Aiko.

Creep creeps right on past “We Are The People,” and TLC advances on a score of 241.35-220.4.

Last but not least, in what I see as a major upset The Waterboys stun Van Morrison’s first song! Fisherman’s Blues defeats “Astral Weeks,” 198.5-196.2. Van has two left but goes to 0-1. That’s the rodeo behind the tournament, ladies and gentlemen- every vote counts. Quinnelly and I combine forces to hoist this one to the Wall as well.

About g-mo

The day I was born, Michael Jackson's Thriller album was at the top of the Billboard 200. I've been trying my best to live up to that expectation ever since.
