Good to be back in the driver’s seat again. Some good songs coming up next to finish up J. MarkB has been absent but will hopefully reemerge for the Jakob Dylan-Lady Gaga throw-down. America? A 2 seed? How did that happen? That song is a total yawner, I had to pull myself out of a coma afterwards. From their tinkly organ to their Kenny G saxophone, its just not that great of a song. Video Killed the Radio Star, on the other hand, is solid.

I was almost on the same page and the Catholic about America, and then it hits that line, “the moon rose over an open field…” and the whole thing just starts to ache… Yeah, this is a good song. It peters out unimpressively, so it’s not quite a 10.

I have always thought that One Headlight was some secret left-over from Bob Dylan and the Band Basement Tapes- the searing organ, the Robbie Roberstson style guitar, and the fact that this sounds nothing like the rest of the Wallflowers album, much to 14 year old Janos’s disappointment. I’ve lost interest in all but the chorus of Bad Romance.
