Division F, Day 1 put on one of the more impressive shows we’ve seen so far.  Every song posted a very respectable score, as three legends bit the dust.  The Weight made the Wall of Tens, getting the top nod from Aiko and G.

#1 The Weight (The Band) def. #16 Wonderwall (Oasis), 102.5-97.75 . Kudos to Oasis for really battling this one out.

#9 Come On Eileen (Dexy’s Midnight Runners) def #8 Tonight, Tonight (Smashing Pumpkins), 100.75-95.5.  Come on Eileen will be a legitimate hurdle in The Weight’s march to the Sweet Sixteen.

#4 Over The Hills and Far Away (Led Zeppelin) def. #13 Rock And Roll (Velvet Underground),  89.75-84.6 .

#5 Suspicious Minds (Elvis Presley) def. #12 Busted (Ray Charles), 99.5-88.2.   When people are feeling Elvis, he’s tough to beat.

The Velvet Underground is out of the tournament, but Lou Reed lives on through Walk on the Wild Side.  Oasis is out of the tournament.
