Black or White [7] – Michael’s last decent song, but we’re not rating it for its nostalgia or surreal music video.
Body Movin’ [5/8] – I didn’t enjoy Fatboy Slim’s sloppy remix on Grooveshark, but I really like the original. If its for the remix, it gets an obnoxious 5. The original is such a great dance track I have to give it a 8.
Straight to Hell [7.5] – Never got into the Clash, but they get sampled so often and seemed to have influenced everyone so I’m happy to get more exposure to them. Interesting lyrics, cool instrumentals, not exactly my cup of tea, but not bad.
There, There [6] – Either I’m falling out of love with Radiohead, or this isn’t one of their better songs. Just seems jumbled and mumbled.
Crazy in Love [7] – I liked this more than I was prepared to.
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun [7.5] – Classic girlcore.
Upon This Tidal Wave of Young Blood [5] – Huh? This song confused me on many levels.
Around the Dial [7.5] – Another ‘legendary’ group I never got into. Pleased to hear their stuff. Glad it doesn’t suck.
Candela [8.5] – Damn, sorry Buena Vista Social Club, this song is fantastic, but you’re up against one of my all time favorites. Coulda beaten dozens of other songs on this list, but thems the matchups…
Me Gustas Tu [9.5] – Manu Chao is probably the greatest French Ska Reggae Punk Artist singing in Spanish in the world. As ridiculous a statement as that is, his songs are just fun, you can listen to them over and over again, the refrains are catchy, and the instrumentals make you want to dance. Maybe my favorite song in the tournament so far…
Ever notice that the most popular French groups don’t sing in French? Gipsy Kings, Manu Chao, Daft Punk… guess they gotta switch it up to get international success.

Of all the Kinks songs to choose, why this one? This isn’t even one of their better late songs. I love the Kinks, but give me Celluloid Heros, Destroyer or even Father Christmas if you’re going to take something post-Muswell Hillbillies. This song is unremarkable.
