Our deepest congratulations to Dirk Nowitski, Jason Kidd, Jason Terry, Shawn Marion, JJ Barea and the rest of the gutty underdog Dallas Mavericks, who just won the NBA Finals, beating the Miami Heat in six games.   Basketball is an exhilarating sport to watch and to play, so to the best team in the world- you all are officially living the dream.

And finally, congratulations to Mavs owner Mark Cuban.  The man gets a bad rap sometimes, but I’ll tell you this- I once listened to him say on a podcast that the hot future career he’d recommend for young people is genetic engineering.   I wrote him an email asking if I should use my lawyerly skills to get into that field, and he wrote me an encouraging response less than 24 hours later.   Turns out I still suck at science, so that’s not happening.  Anyway, go Mavs!
