Round of 128, Division E Results

All four of the match-ups in Division E ran very, very close- however, in the end all four top seeds held off their formidable competitors (very formidable, as no song won their match by more than 8 points.) High score went to Bohemian Rhapsody, racking up 123.1 points to 117.35 and defeating In My Life.

If there was any band that needed a win today, it was Led Zeppelin and they fortunately picked up their first of the Round of 128. Stairway to Heaven defeats Seven Nation Army, 122.9-115.55, and eliminates the White Stripes from the tournament.

The stronger seeded Here Comes The Sun did give the boys from Liverpool a win for the day, defeating The Who’s Won’t Get Fooled Again, 121.1-115.3.

The last results are not a good indication of things to come for Michael Jackson. 1 seed Beat It did defeat We Didn’t Start The Fire 108.7-103.7, but was the only winner who didn’t break a 7.0 average vote.

Eliminated: White Stripes. Both The Who and Billy Joel go to 0-1, but both have a 1 seed left to play (Baba O’Riley-H and Piano Man-P.) Beatles now 2-1.

About g-mo

The day I was born, Michael Jackson's Thriller album was at the top of the Billboard 200. I've been trying my best to live up to that expectation ever since.
