The road has been long, there have been peaks and valleys. And somehow Mark O has managed to continue being the most consistent voter in history. Regardless, I am happy to announce that this is the last, last day of the Round of 512. Genre-based opportunities no more for all of our competitors. I love Emmylou Harris in general, but I can’t say there’s a single song of hers that really wows me, and this isn’t an exception. However, it trounces this Whitney Houston song, which sounds like it should play over the credits of an early 90s B-grade animated feature about talking cats or something.

Did I already mention this during the tournament? I saw Rush live in high school – a friend and I went a big arena show in Detroit to see Primus open up. We were in the last row, as high as you could go. We thought we’d stick around for a few Rush songs, just in case they didn’t totally suck. We were worried the geezers would be pathetic. Those motherfuckers tore the roof off.
