Playlist of the Week: March 3rd, 2014

A little later than I’d expected, but continued on our momentum with 17 songs on this playlist- just the right length for a mix CD. Check ‘em out! This one feels a little mellower than last week’s, but that’s ok. It’s March. Also, I realized how spread out a lot of us are and wanted to call some attention to it. It’s rad. See below.

As you can see, there are no boys in BOY- it’s super deep.

Jamestown Revival, “Fur Coat Blues” (Kenda in Boston)
Anders Osborne, “Marmalade” (Katie B. in ____?)
Josh Ritter, “Hopeful” (bessaface in DC)
BOY, “Oh Boy” (Genevieve in Seattle)
Lord Huron, “Time To Run” (Quinnelly in Fort Collins)
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, “I Should Have Known It” (Corbett in New York)
The Be Good Tanyas, “Lakes of Pontchartrain” (G-mo in Seattle)
Jimmy Cliff, “You Can Get It If You Really Want” (Nos in New York)

Billy Gibbons and Co.

Oscar Issac and Marcus Mumford, “Fare Thee Well (Dink’s Song)” (Joe D. in Silver Spring)
The Cat Empire, “Panama” (Babij in Vermont)
Billy Gibbons and Company, “Oh Well” (Lindsay E. in Oklahoma)
The Southland, “Creatures” (Scott H. in Seattle)
The Cure, “10:15 Saturday Night” (Caitlin B. in Mississippi)
Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, “Retreat!” (Matt B in Cleveland)
Trampled By Turtles, “Duluth” (James W. in Minneapolis)
Dye, “Fantasy” (Jim Rock in Oakland)
Holy Wave, “Do You Feel It?” (Jonas in ______?)

About g-mo

The day I was born, Michael Jackson's Thriller album was at the top of the Billboard 200. I've been trying my best to live up to that expectation ever since.
